Hello everyone we hope everybody has been well since our update last month. As always, we can’t thank everybody enough for visiting and supporting us. Things have been a bit quiet on the Arena front, so we had a bit of time to strategize before we approach the spoiler season for the next set, Forgotten Realms. We’ll get right to it!

Website Navigation and Organization

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been working on how to best organize the website and make navigation super easy for our visitors. This is something that I was personally obsessed about ever since the beginning, but put off time and time again in favor of pushing out new content. A streamlined approach was necessary so that we could also apply a working formula for our other websites.

1. Homepage

We’ve updated the homepage so you can navigate where you want to go, straight away. The top most part we want to experiment with a little bit, but for now it links to the major sections and the major events currently going on. We also added the metagame snapshot (the bo3 rankings of Standard and Historic). Below that, you’ll see the latest decklists and articles that you normally see.

2. Menu

We’ve decided on the major sections of the website – for now. Naturally, the Tools and Videos section are the least popular parts of the website (except for the Mastery Calculator) as they are not our focus and may be replaced later on.

3. Sections

We have decided to divide the two types of written content on our website – Articles and Guides with further subdivisions:

Articles

Here you will find mostly time sensitive content such as news, tournament reports, the latest decklists and analysis. These are the major categories of articles we have decided on for now:

Decklists
Deck roundups from the Magic: The Gathering community, collected among the latest events and ranked play. You will also find recommendations from our authors to you help you navigate around the metagame.
News
All the latest news and updates coming to Magic: The Gathering and MTG Arena including the latest expansion details, release dates, State of the Game, patch notes and more.
Reviews
We review, analyze and rate the latest Magic: The Gathering cards before they are released to help you make informed decisions whether you are looking to craft or draft.
Spoilers
The latest spoilers and leaks for upcoming Magic: The Gathering cards.
Strategy
Our timeless Magic: The Gathering strategy articles will increase your understanding of the game and get the upper hand of your opponents. We cover everything from deck building, game plans, mindset, mulligans, and more.
Tournaments
The latest coverage on Magic: The Gathering tournaments, with reports on decklists, results and more.

Guides

Here we aim for “evergreen” guides related to the game that we always plan to keep updated. You will find our usual deck guides, metagame tier list, budget decks, and so on:

Beginners
New to Magic: The Gathering and MTG Arena? Start here! We'll walk you through options that introduce and teach the game for beginners, and help get you started!
Events
In this section, you will find guides for MTG Arena's in-game events. We go through event details and provide you with excellent sample decklists ready to go so you can claim the maximum rewards as painlessly as possible.
Standard
Standard is the most accessible and widely played constructed format in Magic: The Gathering. Four sets rotate once a year on September, making it a dynamic format that evolves constantly as new sets are released. You can find all our Standard content here, from strategy, guides and tier lists.
Standard 2022
Standard 2022 is a transitional format that prepares players for rotation that runs from July 8, 2021 to September 9, 2021. You can find all our Standard 2022 content here, from strategy, guides and tier lists. Find more Standard 2022 content:
Historic
Historic is a constructed non-rotating format exclusive to Magic: The Gathering Arena. That means you can use any card available in-game, even after they rotate and you will see non-Standard cards being introduced periodically. You can find all our Historic content here, from strategy, guides and tier lists.
Limited
Limited is way of playing Magic: The Gathering in which each player gets a quantity of booster packs and creates their own deck on the spot. It encompasses both the sealed and draft formats. You can find all our Limited content here, from strategy, guides and tier lists.
Sets
In this section, you will find guides for all the sets and expansions released for MTG Arena. We go through what's new, release dates, spoilers, complete card lists, mechanics, events, and more.

This is still a work in progress and subject to further changes. Most importantly, we would love to know what you think and how we can improve it. Let us know in the comments below!

Free Premium Strategy Articles and Giveaway

Somewhat related to above, our Strategy Article section looked a bit bare as we were going through our 1000’s of posts so we decided to release three Premium articles for everyone to have a read for free! Please enjoy at your leisure:

That’s it for this month! We hope you enjoy the 100-Card Historic Brawl Fest as we start to gear up for the Forgotten Realms preview season starting June 29th – the final set before Standard rotation!
