MTG Arena Zone State of the Website – May 2021 Update

Hello our valued visitors! As always, we trust that you are all well. It’s been a while since our last update in February, and we apologize for the lack of communication. However, things have been moving slowly but surely in the background and we sincerely hope you have been enjoying our new Strixhaven content so far. Let’s get right to what we have been up to over the past few months!

Stream Decker Update

This week, our partners at Stream Decker have pushed out a major update that should help boost the speed and performance of the entire website and there should no longer be any downtime when loading any decks! We have also been making small changes here and there, so let us know if you experience any issues in the meantime.

Card Kingdom

We are now affiliated with Card Kingdom, and you can now use this link to purchase cards and support us at the same time. You will find the sponsored banner on the sidebar as well as a “Buy Deck From Card Kingdom” button on our decklists. For now, the button takes you directly to their homepage as well but we will have that fixed up soon.

Continuing to Build the Community

As per our previous announcements, we’ve begun new initiatives to rebuild the MTG Arena Zone community. We wish to thank everybody who has joined us so far! Firstly, the Premium membership system will allow us to continue to provide everybody with quality content. It will also remove all advertisements from the website, as well as bonus exclusive content starting at $2 per month or $20 yearly (read full announcement here).

We have also merged our Twitch and Discord communities with DoggertQBones (read full announcement here). You may have seen the official stream show up on the homepage whenever Bob is live – come in and say hi! We will also be be rolling out various perks and competitions. Currently in the Discord, we’re having a deck brewing competition, and the winner will also be featured on the website. Come and share your spicy decklists!

Welcoming New Team Members

Our goal is to be partnering up with more of the best Magic content creators. Say hello to DanyTlaw, who will be assisting in helping managing our community as well as partner up with DoggertQBones to provide accompanying videos for our deck guides.

We also welcome JS2 and MythicMatt, both very talented players who consistently rank high Mythic and will also be joining our writing team. Last but not least, Paul will be joining the news team, reporting the latest happenings in the Magic: The Gathering world as well as things like the Daily Deals and new card spoilers!
