Theros: Beyond Death Previews – Eutropia the Twice-Favored and More

Here is the first Theros: Beyond Death preview card for today, along with three others from the weekend in case you have missed them. We are now onto the final few days of the spoilers before the full reveal on Friday, and we have a lot more coming today according to the schedule!

Eutropia the Twice-Favored

Marshall Sutcliffe from the Limited Resources Podcast revealed Eutropia the Twice-Favored, one of the uncommon Legendary creature cycles from the set. Eutropia looks to be an awesome card for limited, similar to Skyrider Patrol from Core Set 2019. The difference being it needs a bit more work to trigger the ability, but is less mana intensive. Having enchantments to play in this format hopefully won’t be a huge issue!

Oread of Mountain’s Blaze

Voxy revealead Oread of Mountain’s Blaze, a 2 mana 1/3 creature that will mostly likely act as a curve filler in your draft deck. It is an enchantment, has a defensive body and can later turn unwanted cards (such as lands) into spell. It looks like having one or two of these in your deck won’t be out of the question!

Arena Trickster

Another reveal from the official MTG Arena Twitter account fitting for the card name, Arena Trickster looks to be a very solid filler card in your draft deck that ideally wants to work in the blue and red “first spell during each opponent’s turn” archetype. Having seen cards such as Stinging Lionfish and Wavebreak Hippocamp so far, this looks to be a decent archetype. The trap is having too much spells and not enough creatures in your draft deck, so beware!

Siona, Captain of the Pyleas

Finally, we had Bloody reveal Siona, Captain of the Pyleas, the green white Legendary uncommon. Looking at seven cards from the top of your deck can almost guarantee you card advantage if your deck has a few in it (especially in a draft deck), so this card is still decent even if the second ability might not impact the game too much, if at all.
