Top Mythic Standard and Historic Decks – Noveber 2020 Season – Week 1

We are now on the first week of MTG Arena’s November 2020 ranked season and here is our round up of the decks that were used to hit the early Mythic ranks! If your current deck line up needs some inspiration, we have some cool brews that were used to reach Mythic this week that you can try!

Standard Check-In

It only seems like yesterday, but we have another packed weekend of competitive Magic. The Magic Pro League and Rival League members battling out for their place this season and all their decklists have been revealed. For the pros, Gruul Adventures is still the deck to beat. Esper Yorion has been favored as the control deck of choice to try and combat the dominating aggro deck that seems to have it all, and Dimir Rogues is still not too far behind. Check out the link above for all the latest decklists and the metagame breakdown.

The Mythic Invitational Qualifiers for this month will also be happening, and hopefully we will get to see some cool decks emerge. Keep an eye out on our front page for the latest updates.

Historic Check-In

We are very close to the release of Kaladesh Remastered and the injection of more than 300 cards to Historic. The format has not been getting too much attention, but it still needs to overcome the powerful status quo such as Uro, Muxus and the Cat Oven combo. Since Wizards chose to pre-emptively exclude the likes of Walking Ballista and Smuggler’s Copter, it’s not certain that this set will make an overall huge impact on the format. Having said that, we may see some competitive tournaments focus on Historic as we get closer to the release of Kaldheim sometime in January next year and Standard gets more stale.

We will have a full constructed and limited breakdown of the set coming for you closer to the patch day (Thursday November 12)!
