Mystical Archive cards have definitely made a huge impact on Historic since its release one week ago with Strixhaven, and along with it a lot the attention from content creators are also drawn here as well. Brainstorm, Memory Lapse, Lightning Helix, Abundant Harvest, Grapeshot, Time Warp, Inquisition of Kozilek and Faithless Looting are just few of the cards that have slotted into new and existing decks, making the format jump ahead in power level and heading towards Modern and even Legacy!
Of course, it’s still too early to say whether we can overthrow and go over the top of existing powerhouses such as Auras, Sacrifice and Collected Company, as players try out different decks before the metagame settles. Every set release, everybody’s favorite card Arclight Phoenix looks to make a return and it looks semi-promising so far.
