The day before deck submission for the latest New Capenna Championship, I had the choice of playing either of the two decks on our team - Esper Midrange or Jeskai Combo, also known as Jeskai Dragon Storm. After agonizing for a long time, I chose to play Esper Midrange. I definitely regretted it; not because Esper Midrange was bad (we did put two people in the top 8 with it), but because our Jeskai Combo list was almost inarguably the best deck in the tournament.
