Orzhov Sacrifice

I have been playing this deck for over a month now and had great success against all standard ideas like Rakdos sacrifice, Esper, goblins and each other kind of aggro. The deck builds up a solid defence very quickly, while Juggernaut Peddler and Rite of Oblivion pick out the opponents\’ most dangerous cards. Once the enemy initiative is stopped, Graven Archfiend, Sune\’s Intervention, Deadly Dispute and the black specialize ability of Lae\’zel create a huge card advantage.

Lae\’zel, maybe the strongest Alchemy card of the current season, can be called the key card of the deck. She deals with almost every attacker (except fliers), is more ore less impossible to remove, and the specialize ability returns two small creatures from the graveyard, that can be sacrificed again.

Juggernaut Peddler harmonizes perfectly with Lae\’zel, because every Juggernaut entering at the opponents\’ side of the battlefield is doomed, due to the 3/6-one-woman-army with double strike.

Sune\’s intervention, the second new idea, gives the deck additional solidity, it can kill a juggernaut and destroy the own Demonic Pact created by Graven Archfiend, if no Rite of Oblivion is available. Two more copies can be added from the sideboard when playing against Rakdos Sacrifice. With Ethereal Escort, all life problems are solved.

Cut Down is basically dedicated to annoying Diviner of Fates. Without it\’s infinite card drawer, Esper Midrange loses most of its scare. Henrika Domnathi is a good choice against Esper too, forcing the opponent to sacrifice Lae\’zel for example.

Even against control, Duress guarantees good winning chances removing the enemy counter spells.
