Historic Lurrus Dead Guy Ale by boopster – #496 Mythic – September 2022 Ranked Season

Inspired by Jeff Hoogland\’s recent Youtube video playing Dead Guy Ale in Historic, I made a Lurrus version (because I love the cat.) In my experience, disruptive aggro decks tend to do well on the Arena Ladder, as they tend to have game against everything. The hardest matchup for this deck has been Rakdos Midrange as their threats are better than ours, and can grind better in longer games. The only card I am not sure of in the main is the Triumphant Adventurer. I have found it solid as having that extra value from venturing is nice, and it can essentially always attack because of the deathtouch/first strike combo, but will concede it is better in Hoogland\’s version (which is also playing Nadaar, Selfless Paladin for the venture synergy). Deck\’s fun, and I\’ve had it as high as #303 Mythic. Enjoy, or don\’t.
