Core Set 2020 Standard Decks Day 2 – Spirits, Scapeshift, Flash and Hydras

People are tinkering even more decks for for Core Set 2020 (M20) Standard. Today we put the spotlight on Spirits, Scapeshift Combo with Field of the Dead, Flash, and Hydras!

Players are refining their decks for the new Core Set 2020 Standard format (especially with Elementals) – let’s explore some deck archetypes that we may be facing on the ladder today.

Scapeshift + Field of the Dead Combo

There’s a new combo in Standard that is relatively easy to assemble – that involve Scapeshift and Field of the Dead:

If multiple lands enter the battlefield simultaneously, possibly including Field of the Dead itself, all of those lands are counted. For example, if you sacrifice eight lands while resolving Scapeshift and search your library for five different basic land cards, two Field of the Dead cards, and one other land card with a different name, you’ll create 16 Zombie tokens.
