Kaldheim Product Shots Leaked
The Magic: The Gathering Finance Reddit community has found a local gaming store that inadvertently posted the paper Kaldheim products earlier than expected on their online store. Some of these have been leaked previously, but the image quality is better and we have the details of the two Commanders from the two Commander Decks Elven Empire and Phantom Premonition as well.
We already know that Kaldheim is a world inspired by Norse Mythology and Vikings, and these product shots give a good indication on what themes and characters we can expect from the upcoming set in January 2021. You can check out our Kaldheim information hub where we will post all relevant information, including spoilers!
Table of Contents
Kaldheim Draft Boosters and Bundle
The classic draft boosters of the set, featuring Kaya as one of the main characters in the set! The bundle contains:
- 10 Draft Boosters
- 20 foil basic lands (regular frame)
- 20 basic lands (regular frame)
- 1 alt-art card
- 1 oversized spindown
- 1 card storage box
Kaldheim Set Booster Box
The Kaldheim Set Booster product gives off strong snow vibes, and there’s no doubt that the Snow mechanic could make its way back, making its debut appearance on MTG Arena!
A set booster from Zendikar Rising contained the following:
- Up to 4 rares
- 1 foil in every pack
- 1:4 packs contain a card from The List (which we’ll be revealing in full next week)
- There are some cool alternate frames, too (detailed below in the Draft Booster section)
- 1 art card (1:20 are foil-stamped)
- 1 token/ad card
- 12 game cards total
The Set Booster Box contains 30 packs, and includes a Buy-a-Box promo. The contents could change with Kaldheim.
Kaldheim Collector Booster and Collector Boosters
Kaldheim’s Collector Booster looks to be a continuation of the recently revealed Secret Lair Party Hard, Shred Harder with a similar font and art style:

A Collector Booster contained a lot of different high-end cards in Zendikar Rising, from foils to showcase cards to expeditions. A display contains 12 packs.
Commander Deck: Elven Empire
Elves in Kaldheim look to be aligned to the Golgari colors (Dark Elves), and hopefully we get to see some more tribal support similar to what we had for Goblins! However, Commander Decks are a supplemental product and the cards are unlikely to be available on MTG Arena as the format is not supported yet. As for the card itself, a rough transcription of what we can make out by u/b7XPbZCdMrqR:
Larhril, Blade of the Elves – {2}{B}{G}
Legendary Creature – Elf Noble – Rare
Menace
Whenever Larhril, Blade of the Elves deals combat damage to a player, create that many 1/1 green Elf Warrior creature tokens.
{T}, Tap ten[???] untapped elves you control: Each opponent loses 10 life and you gain 10 life.
2/3
Speaking of Golgari Elves, Shaman of the Pack was one of my favorite cards, and though the card’s theme does not fit into the set we hope to see it introduced to Historic one day!
Commander Deck: Phantom Premonition
Ranar the Ever-Watchful – {2}{W}{U}
Legendary Creature – Spirit Warrior – Rare
Flying, vigilance
The first card you foretell[?] each turn costs {Snow}[?] to foretell.
Whenever you exile one or more cards from your hand, and/or permanents from the battlefield, create a 1/1 white Spirit creature token with flying.
2/3
The keyword and the mana cost is a bit hard to make out, and it could work similar to the old Forecast mechanic or like Tetzimoc. Spirits look like the Elves’ rival tribe getting some love in Kaldheim, continuing with their theme of exiling things and getting continued support with strong cards such as Skyclave Apparition!
