It’s Wednesday once again, which means it’s time for another installment of Wizards of the Coast’s weekly MTG Arena Announcements. This week is a tiny bit different, as we get a bit of new information regarding the upcoming set Innistrad: Crimson Vow. Preview season begins tomorrow, so check back on our spoilers page to see some of what the new set has in store!
Crimson Vow Preorders Open Tomorrow
Along with the previews, preorders for Innistrad: Crimson Vow will also be going live tomorrow, October 28, on MTG Arena. As usual, there are two different bundles you can buy – one that contains 50 packs and cosmetics, aimed at constructed players, and one that contains four draft tokens for the players with more of a focus on limited.

New Event Tomorrow: The Edge of Night
A new Standard Singleton event will be getting underway on Arena starting this Thursday, October 28, and running until November 4. The event will have a special emblem in play the reads “At the beginning of your upkeep, if it’s neither day nor night, it becomes day. Whenever day becomes night, you draw a card and you lose 1 life.”
The entry fee will cost 2,000 gold or 400 gems, and you will play until four wins or two losses in best-of-one matches. The prize structure is as follows:

Two Extra Premier Drafts
In addition to The Edge of Night event, there are two additional draft formats that will be returning to MTG Arena for a limited time. From October 29 – November 5, the Ravnica Mixer draft will have players drafting one pack each of the three recent Ravnica sets, Guilds of Ravnica, Ravnica Allegiance, and War of the Spark.
Up next, from November 5-12, a Core Set draft will take place featuring packs from Core Sets 2019, 2020, and 2021.

In honor of Halloween this year, Wizards is offering a discount on the Halloween pet and sleeve: the price has been reduced to 3,000 gems down from 3,600, so jump on it if you’ve been looking to show off some spooky spirit on Arena.
And that just about covers it for this week’s announcements. We hope you are as excited as we are at MTGA Zone for the spoiler season starting tomorrow!
