Amonkhet Remastered Previews: Thoughtseize, Demonic Pact and Black Cards

Amonkhet Remastered is coming to MTG Arena this week on August 13, adding the set-defining 339 cards and iconic mechanics from Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation. It has a focus on the Limited play experience (Draft and Sealed), Pioneer (soon to come), and continued support for Historic. Dengeki Online continues with the previews, revealing Thoughtseize, Demonic Pact and the rest of the Black cards to be included in the set!

Thoughtseize will be a Historic staple as one of the best cards in Magic, making the likes of Thought Erasure and Agonizing Remorse practically obsolete! It will look to keep all the powerful decks in check as the format adds more and more cards.

Demonic Pact has a brand new art, and makes its way into Historic for brewers to play around with. We don’t really have ways to give it to the opponent after three turns other than something like Role Reversal, and I struggle to think of a competitive deck that would want this card currently.
