Hello everyone! This week’s Midweek Magic is Artisan! This is one of my favorite formats on Arena as you get to play very powerful decks that only utilize commons and uncommons! This creates a huge diversity in deck selection and a super vibrant metagame.
Players can enter the event for free, win some free Rare Individual Card Rewards (ICRs) and a random cosmetic item on the third win. Below is everything you need to know about the event as well as the list of decks you can use for this event.
Welcome to Midweek Magic! Each week, try out a different way to play MTG Arena!
Bring a 60-card Alchemy deck, but using only commons, uncommons, and basic lands. Without rares, the common folk can truly be heard!

Artisan Decklists (September 2022)
If you’re looking to get scrappy, you know Mono White has your back! With a great curve and surprisingly efficient removal, Mono White is a great deck to quickly churn out wins.
If you like aggressive decks with a good mix of threats and interaction, you can’t do any better than Mono Black!
Looking to be a much more grindy deck, Mono Black Midrange is writhe with creatures that can accrue value when killed or sacrificed to our many sacrifice outlets!
An analog to one of Alchemy’s current best decks, Mono Red Aggro has the highest cheap threat quality out of all the aggressive options on top of having excellent spells.
Looking to outsize the other aggressive decks, Mono Green looks to win through aggression and threat quality rather than just curve.
Utilizing as many synergistic options as possible, Boros Artifact Aggro has a great curve on top of cards that are super charged by playing all artifacts.
Combining the best threats from Green and Red, what you give up on consistency you gain in raw deck power!
Playing a bevy of cheap threats and interaction, Izzet Delver has the means to both control the board and kill the opponent quickly.
Looking to leverage sacrifice synergies as much as possible, Orzhov has a host of great creatures to sacrifice and the most payoffs you can get in Alchemy.
A different flavor of Sacrifice, rather than going all in on the creature plan, this deck uses the incredible power of Oni-Cult Anvil to grind out the opponent.
Functionally a Kamigawa block deck, Selesnya Enchantments is an aggro deck that looks to outpace the other aggressive decks with the size of the threats and copious interaction.
A favorite from Historic Artisan, Selesnya Lifegain is yet another aggressive deck looking to tackle the other aggro decks by scaling your creatures out of reach of removal and padding your life total to make racing a nightmare.
