It only seems like yesterday when Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths was released, and things have been complicated when we consider the surrounding world events that led to the delay of tabletop release of Ikoria as well as cancellation of important events that serve to promote the new cards. The world must go on however, as the Wizards Play Network posted some important dates for the upcoming Core Set 2021, confirming the official release date as well as when the spoiler season will start.
The official spoiler season will be starting June 4, and you will be able to see the cards as they are spoiled at MTG Arena Zone right here. The release of the set should also follow with the MTG Arena game update on June 25.
Core Set 2021 will the eight set to be added to the current Standard card pool. When Zendikar Rising releases on September this year, Guilds of Ravnica, Ravnica Allegiance, War of the Spark and Core Set 2020 will be rotating out. For more information, check out our guide to Standard rotation!
