Wouldn’t Sphere of Annihilation be a better choice going forward than Shadow’s Verdict? It costs 1 less out of the gate to hit all creatures with Mana Value 3 or less, and can scale up even higher, with the single caveat of waiting a single turn cycle. I could be wrong, but in similar matchups against creature decks Elder Gargaroth saw a lot of play with the same drawback. I’m interested in hearing your take on this 🙂

I think Sphere is not where you want to be as you have to invest a bunch of mana into it for it to not impact the board the turn it comes in. Gargaroth is so good because it presents an immediate threat on both offense and defense which is worth the investment. It’s not that Sphere is bad so much as it is pretty slow.

I’m wondering why the Ice Tunnels when you have no Snow synergy? Couldn’t these be Dismals to get you more life gain without losing synergy or am I missing something?
