Europe MTG Arena Pricing Update

Players would have received an email from Wizards of the Coast about an increase to the pricing of gems on MTG Arena. Please see below transcript for details.

Starting with the update on May 18, Magic: The Gathering Arena is making some adjustments to its storefront in order to create pricing parity across devices and platforms throughout Europe to better account for value-added tax.

First, players who are paying in Euros on PC will see approximately a 10% increase in prices. This will bring PC prices closer to being in line with mobile prices, which will not change.

Additionally, we will be removing the ability to switch between paying in Euros and Dollars. Players in Europe will now only be able to pay in Euros.

As an example, here are the price updates for Gem packages:

750 gems: 4.99 USD/EUR -> 5.49 EUR
1,600 gems: 9.99 USD/EUR -> 10.99 EUR
3,400 gems: 19.99 USD/EUR -> 21.99 EUR
9,200 gems: 49.99 USD/EUR -> 53.99 EUR
10,000 gems: 99.99 USD/EUR -> 107.99 EUR

These changes are effective May 18, 2023, and will not affect other regions.
