Hey everyone! I’m taking a very short break from drafting as much Final Fantasy as humanly possible to bring you this weeks installment of Midweek Magic. This week we are getting the traditional set constructed event with Final Fantasy Constructed.
These are a great throwback to the days of block constructed tournaments. Those were some of my first PTQs so I have fond memories of them. They always contained their own little metagame that was separate from everything else going on.
These events typically include every card in the base set, but don’t include the bonus sheet. If they change that this time, then obviously there are some revisions that would need to be made.
I almost forgot the best part, these have usually been made all access events meaning that you don’t actually have to own the cards to play with them. Import the deck and it will show up as you not having the cards, but when you go to the MWM event and click choose deck, it will pop up as an option. This has been a great way for WotC to get people to try out all the new stuff before they commit their hard earned wildcards. They haven’t said that they were all access for the last few, but they have been so I expect that to continue.
Yeah…yeah, that’s all that I needed to say. Just some event info and then you can get to the deck lists.
Event Details
Bring a 60-card deck with only cards from the Final Fantasy set and demonstrate your mastery of the new cards!

Duration: June 17th, 2025 @ 2:00 PM PST to June 19th, 2025 @ 2:00 PM PST
Format: Final Fantasy Constructed
Entry Fee: Free
Ends After: You can play as much as you like for the duration of the event.
Everyone’s favorite birbs make an appearance before treating the opponent like when Link attacked the chickens one too many times (if you know, you know).
I ping in your general direction! You’ll be doing a whole lot of pinging away at your opponent with this Rakdos pile. Rakdos loves to interact and in this case it is interacting with their face.
There are a lot of payoffs for slinging spells in this set and this intends to take advantage of most of them. Plus you get to play with Vivi and who doesn’t want to do that.
Most of the equipment in this set lacks the normal drawback of needing a creature because they come preequipped. Use Cloud to summon up your weapon of choice to slice and dice your way to victory.
