Hey everyone! I know you’re all excited about Foundations launching, but as you may know it is the middle of another week. That means it’s time for…drumroll please… another Midweek Magic. I’ll pretend that there was a ton of applause for that, but I really do think you’ll be happy with this week’s version.
It is Foundations Constructed. I know you all just groaned because “OMG we don’t have any of the cards yet! It’s bad enough when it’s a week later, but this is on freaking launch day!”. No need to fear because WotC listened to your plight (plus a bit of common sense) and decided to make this one All Access. That means you don’t have to worry about crafting anything, you just get a sandbox to do whatever you want for a few days.
It also means I don’t have to worry about making a budget list for anyone, but let’s be honest here, it would just be a pile of Hare Apparent with a couple mass pump spells.
I’m assuming that Special Guests will be excluded because they are not part of the base set. I am unsure if the starter deck cards are included, but I’ll try to avoid adding them just in case.
Event Details
Build a 60-card deck with any cards from Magic: The Gathering Foundations and demonstrate your mastery of the new cards! This is a Phantom event, so cards are not added to your collection.

Alright meow, it’s time to get catty. This is your typical white weenie deck that gets all up in your opponent’s face. Those kitties are supplemented by Claws Out and Celestial Armor to make sure they get the job done.
A classic Simic ramp deck that just wants to drop some chonkers and smash on in with them. You can’t go wrong with Koma, World-Eater putting in some serious work like he’s at an all you can eat buffet.
Do you have control problems? Well it’s not a problem if you’re the one in control. This lets you take that route with counter spells and Day of Judgment to sweep away any problems. Eventually you get to beat them down with cheap serpents.
These events almost always end up with people playing a ton of aggressive creature decks. That means that killing all of those creatures usually works out in your favor. They might call you a monster, but at least you got the W.
