Table of Contents
Historic Anthology 3 is the latest set of 27 cards from Magic: The Gathering’s past that has been added to the Historic card pool along with MTG Arena’s latest patch on May 21, 2020. In this article, we will be featuring decklists played by Mythic players, pros and streamers and you will be able to find both updated and new archetypes enabled by Ikoria: Lair of Behemoths and Historic Anthology 3.
For the first week or two, we can expect many of these decks to test and feature the new cards, until the metagame settles down. Companions will be infiltrating Historic and some fan favorites like Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger and Phyrexian Obliterator are expected to be popular. It is also important to note that for the first time ever, Historic will be featured as an official tournament format at the MTG Arena Mythic Invitational in August, so we can expect a lot of fine tuning of decks from competitors as time goes (or kept secret until then), pending any potential suspensions or bans.
