Hey everyone! On release day you’ll be debating whether you should invest some time experimenting with the new cards or jumping right into playing some Midweek Magic. (Did you see what I did there? It’s because it’s a jump in event. Get it? You don’t think it was that creative? Hey now, Dad jokes/puns are kind of my thing and I am on my first cup of coffee so my brain is on default settings. Not all the jokes can be winners.)
Luckily the problem solves itself this time because the Midweek Magic theme is Jump In! so we get to play with the shiny new cards while still racking up those MWM wins. On top of that, itโs free so you donโt have to worry about not having any of the cards yet. Not a bad way to kick things off.
For those of you unfamiliar with Jump In, you are presented with a choice of three themed packs that will be half of your deck. After you choose, you repeat the process for the second half of your deck. You get to know the name of the theme and colors, but even the cards in each theme have a few variations so you wonโt know for sure what youโre getting until youโre done.
There really isnโt much else to tell you, but Iโll give you a few tricks right after this event info.
Event Details
Select two different half decks from a variety of themes in Alchemy. Combine them, and youโll have a deck thatโs ready to go.

Duration: April 21st, 2026 @ 2:00 PM PST to April 23rd, 2026 @ 2:00 PM PST
Format: Jump In!
Entry Fee: Free
Ends After: You can play as much as you like for the duration of the event.
The best advice you can possibly get about jump in is to make sure you choose a single-colored pack with your first pick. No matter how powerful you think one of the two color packs is, you REALLY donโt want to look at your second choice and realize you are now stuck playing an unsupported three- or four-color pile.
The next thing you want to do is try to make sure that your two themes are on a similar plan. Itโs almost impossible to end up with ones that are doing the exact same thing, but try to make sure they are both aggro or both control plans.
Thatโs really about it as far as what you can do to maximize your chances in jump in. Outside of that the only thing I have to mention is that this event is phantom so you donโt get to keep the cards.
Wrap Up
Thanks for reading! Iโll be back next week with your next Midweek Magic hookup. Until then, stay classy people!
