Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Constructed Decklists
Here are our sample deck lists here to get you started, with commentary and my top picks below.
Planeswalkers (4)
Instants (4)
Artifacts (4)
60 Cards
$202.02
No matter the format, a Mono White deck will be possible, but this time, it isn’t aggro! Rather than trying to kill quickly with mediocre creatures, White has a good deal of interaction this time around so you can control the baord and then eventually overwhelm the opponent!
Creatures (22)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (4)
60 Cards
$81.88
With a litany of cheap threats and interaction spells, Mono Blue can attack the clunky decks that are inevitably going to be popular in the format.
Creatures (18)
Instants (2)
Artifacts (4)
Enchantments (4)
60 Cards
$50.32
If we’re talking aggro, Mono Black is looking quite nice! With a solid curve, good cards, and great removal with Soul Transfer and Invoke Despair, Mono Black is looking quite strong!
Creatures (24)
60 Cards
$124.16
Speaking of aggro! Mono Red was made viable in Standard because of Kamigawa so it only makes sense it would be good here! Solid curve, fast threats, solid removal, we have all the underpinnings of a good aggro deck.
Creatures (21)
Instants (2)
Sorceries (4)
Enchantments (10)
60 Cards
$149.94
We don’t often have a lot of Ramp in these Set Constructed formats, but Kamigawa is a huge exception! With access to up to TWELVE turn 2 ramp spells, Mono Green can consistently have ramp and start pumping out threats way ahead of curve!
Planeswalkers (4)
Instants (4)
Sorceries (2)
Artifacts (4)
Enchantments (11)
Lands (26)
60 Cards
$270.48
If you like the classic feel of Control, that’s more than possible here. The base of Mono White midrange with some disruption is a solid formula for Control in this format!
Planeswalkers (3)
Creatures (23)
Enchantments (11)
Lands (23)
60 Cards
$259.64
Selesnya Enchantments was close to a set constructed deck in Standard already so it’s probably insane here! The deck has plenty of strong plays and synergy so this seems like a great choice for the event.
Planeswalkers (4)
Creatures (25)
Sorceries (4)
Enchantments (4)
Lands (23)
60 Cards
$107.44
If you like Ninjas and want to play Kaito Shizuki to full effect, here is how. This deck has a low curve and packed with Ninjutsu cards to punish any deck that can’t adequately defend itself.
Creatures (12)
Artifacts (16)
Lands (23)
60 Cards
$95.58
If you love synergy decks, Oni-Cult Anvil spawned an entire archetype on its own! Rakdos looks to abuse Anvil and Dragonspark Reactor to create value and then kill the opponent over the course of a few turns!
Planeswalkers (4)
Creatures (22)
Lands (24)
60 Cards
$162.38
For the final deck of the list, we went back to the Green shell and added Blue for a host of good options! Between Tamiyo, Compleated Sage, interaction, and Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Simic will always have something to do at every point and can drop bomb after bomb in the late game!
My Top Picks
So usually when I build for these events, half of the decks seem better than the rest, but it’s tenuous which one is the best. That isn’t the case this time around. Selesnya Enchantments seems far and away the best deck for the event, but the rest of the decks are much closer in power level than they normally are. You should do well with any of the lists put here, but here are my top 5 recommendations.
