Modern Horizons 3 Constructed – Midweek Magic Event Guide and Best Decklists

Hey everyone! I checked my calendar and to my shock, it is once again the middle of a week. According to my spidey senses, that means it is time for another Midweek Magic. This week we are playing Modern Horizons 3 Constructed. These are always interesting because you (and by that, I mean I) have to try to throw decks together with only one set. They also tend to leave out the bonus sheet so that means we won’t be using all your wildcards on the Invocations here.

I did build a budget deck for those of you looking to get out of here on the cheap. I even threw in an extra semi budget one with modify instructions on making it budget.

Bring a 60-card deck with only cards from Modern Horizons 3 and demonstrate your mastery of the new cards!

As you can imagine the Guide of Souls and Ocelot Pride combo is going to be just as good here as it is in Timeless. You have Phalge to finish stuff off if that doesn’t get the job done. Besides feeding the graveyard for Phlage, there is plenty of sacrifice land synergy running around here with Glyph Elemental and Reckless Pyrosurfer.

Aether Revolt

This pile of energy cards is mostly about my desire to go off with Aether Revolt. Do with that what you will. As long as you gain a couple of energy turn one, then Amped Raptor can hit literally any card in the deck including the aforementioned Aether Revolt.

Eldrazi

A mono green ramp deck that lets you play with some of the fun cards in the format. I love casting Emrakul and this is a great way to actually pull that off. It’s usually pretty easy to figure out how to win from that point.

Semi-Budget Artifacts

There are only eight rares in this deck and if you don’t want to use the wildcards there are easy solutions. Replace the 4x Bloodstained Mire with 4x Bloodsoaked Insight for the dual lands and drop in 4x Ghostfire Slice for the Imskirs so you can try to burn them out that way.
