MTG Arena Announcements: November 9, 2022 – The Brothers’ War Early Access Event

In Wizards of the Coast’s latest announcements bulletin for Magic: The Gathering Arena, the Arena team updated players on several matters concerning the upcoming release of The Brothers’ War and outlined the play schedule for the rest of November. They noted that subsequent announcement articles would be published on Monday instead of Wednesday, starting with the November 14 bulletin.
The announcement article invited players to the upcoming The Brothers’ War Early Access Livestream Event. The event, taking place on streaming sites like Twitch.tv, will feature content creators and streamers receiving fully stocked accounts where they can build and play Limited and Constructed formats withcards from the latest set.
The preview event will start at 10am Pacific Time on Thursday, November 10. The Brothers’ War releases on Arena and Magic Online on November 15, and on paper on November 18.
WotC also announced that players could receive an email outlining their stats for the Dominaria United season by signing up for the MTG Arena newsletter by November 14. As long as you’re subscribed, you’ll receive an infographic like the one above with your play patterns and stats each set release.
Wizards specified how to sign up for their newsletter, which includes promotions and offers:

MTG Arena Premier Play Schedule
November Qualifier Weekend – Historic
The month’s Qualifier Weekend is scheduled for November 12, 6am Pacific Time until November 13, 4pm PT, with Historic as the format.
Aside from accumulating enough Play-In Points, players can qualify for this weekend event by performing well in the second of two Play-In events paired with this Qualifier Weekend:
Best-of-Three Qualifier Play-In November 11, 6 am PT–November 12, 3 am PT
December Qualifier Weekend – The Brothers’ War Sealed
The Arena team also announced the schedule for the December Qualifier Weekend and specified that the format for next month will be The Brothers’ War Sealed.
Best-of-One Qualifier Play-In December 3, 6 am PT – December 4, 6 am PT
Format: The Brothers’ War Sealed
Best-of-Three Qualifier Play-In December 9, 6 am PT – December 10, 3 am PT
Format: The Brothers’ War Sealed
Qualifier Weekend
December 10, 6 am PT – December 12, 4 pm PT
December Arena Open – The Brothers’ War Sealed
Finally, we also have the date and format for the next Arena Open event. Players will get to compete for up to $2500 between November 26-27 with the format also slated to be The Brothers’ War Sealed.
Day 1, November 26: The Brothers’ War Sealed Best-of-One and Best-of-Three
Entry window from 6am PT on November 26 – 3am PT on November 27
All participants will receive The Brothers’ War card sleeve.
Day 2, November 27: The Brothers’ War Player Draft
Day 2 Entry window from 6am PT – 8am PT on November 27
There are two Player Draft events on Day 2.

MTG ARENA ANNOUNCEMENTS MOVING TO MONDAYS ON NOVEMBER 14
Starting this coming Monday, our weekly MTG Arena announcements will shift to Mondays. This is to better sync with the new Tuesday release schedule that begins with the launch of The Brothers’ War on November 15.

THIS WEEKEND: BEST-OF-THREE QUALIFIER PLAY-IN AND QUALIFIER WEEKEND
It’s time for the big November Premier Play weekend! These back-to-back events, the Qualifier Play-In followed by the Qualifier Weekend, can propel you into the competitive Magic world and put you on the path toward the Arena Championship, and then the ultimate showdown, the Magic World Championship.
The Best-of-Three Qualifier Play-In begins on Friday, November 11, at 6 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC) and wraps up at 3 a.m. PT on Saturday, November 12. Four wins will get you an invitation to the Qualifier Weekend event.
Then, just three short hours later, the November 12 Qualifier Weekend two-day event kicks off at 6 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC). This is where seven wins on Day Two can earn you entry to the Arena Championship!

Qualifier Weekend events are two-day events in which eligible players compete for invitations to the Arena Championship 1 held in the fourth quarter of 2022.
Qualifier Weekend Day One and Day Two events open to entries at 6 a.m. PT (14:00 UTC) and close to new entries at 8 a.m. PT (16:00 UTC) each day. You must enter within this two-hour window—late entries cannot be accommodated.
Arena Open Day 1 entry window begins at 6 a.m. PT (13:00 UTC, 14:00 UTC after November 6) and closes to new entries the following day at 3 a.m. PT (10:00 UTC, 11:00 UTC after November 6).
Day 2 entry window is two hours only, from 6 a.m. PT (13:00 UTC, 14:00 UTC after November 6) until 8 a.m. PT (15:00 UTC, 16:00 UTC after November 6).
