Table of Contents
Hello our valued visitors! It has been a while since we provided an update, but we trust that you are all well. Time has flown by in a blink of an eye and we are already approaching half way into 2022. Our goal is to regularly communicate what changes are undergoing on the website regularly, and this is our log of what’s changed, what’s being worked on, and what’s to come in the roadmap.
With that in mind, here at MTG Arena Zone (and our network of websites), we strive for:
- Transparent communication.
- To improve everyday, reflect and be more motivated.
- Accountability for everything we do, and check back on our progress, with deadlines in mind.
Without further ado, let’s dive in!
Team Expansion and More Content
Our number one goal is to provide our readers with the best content possible. With that in mind, we are always striving to expand our team members. We’ve recently welcomed Paulo Vitor Damo da Rosa, who will be supporting our Premium community (more on this below) with articles once a week. You can find out more in our announcement post:
On another note, we have always been a community that focused primarily on MTG Arena – and that will always be true. However, you may have also seen some Commander and Pioneer content pop up on the site recently.
Pioneer makes the most sense as it is closely related to Explorer, is also available online thanks to Magic Online, and will be on MTG Arena eventually. With that, coverage of tabletop Magic: The Gathering has also become even more important with live events starting open up around the world. Darthjacen will also be joining us to keep the format up to date.
Whether we open up a separate section or an entirely new website altogether, we will continue to tinker and keep you in the loop!
Premium Community Support
Last year, we started our Premium community by publishing exclusive content once a week, and was overwhelmed with the support that everybody has given us so far. Over the next coming months, we will start to push for more support and services!
That means more exclusive content from our team first and foremost, focused on competitive play (and of course, from the world champion PVDDR himself). We’ll have giveaways, tournament series, Discord discussions, and more to come.
We will be announcing all this in a separate post as we finalize everything this month. In the meantime, you can click here to get started.
MTG Arena Zone Version 2.0
Yes, that’s right – a long overdue website overhaul is in the works.
Nothing more to say other than coming soonâ„¢, but if you have any feedback for improvements we’d appreciate it for future implementation. Contact us by email or Discord.
Old Decklists Not Displaying
Relatively speaking, we are still a young site and as we evolve our key technologies – like the old way to display decks and cards – were not compatible with our current systems. That meant that any decklists older than 9 months had to be disabled. This proved to be a big miscalculation on our behalf as we still get tonnes of requests to restore the old decks!
We severely underestimated how much they would still be used, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. We are still restoring them upon request, so if you come across any articles or decklists that are empty or displaying an unparsed code, please contact us or message us on Discord (until we can come up with a solution).
Commenting Disabled
Commenting on the website should now be disabled for newer posts. At first we restricted them to registered members only, but still received a lot of untoward comments so we’ve decided that it is best to funnel all discussion towards our Discord community. Feel free to ask us anything there!
Wrapping Up
That’s all for now, and as we mentioned previously, you can contact us through email via the contact form here or even chat to us directly on our Discord server if you have any feedback regarding the website (but not the game itself, you have to contact Wizards of the Coast for those kind of stuff).
Thank you for your support!
