Hey everyone! I hop (That was as intentional as it was terrible) you all enjoyed your Easter and that the bunny dropped off plenty of tasty treats. While that adventure is over, time moves on and a new one awaits us with another Midweek Magic.
This week we will be playing On the Edge. Since WotC stopped updating the MWM page, I have to make educated guesses based off of previous events. This typically means decks built only from the three latest standard sets.
Between that uncertainty and Cori-Steel Cutter tearing it up across multiple formats, you can expect a lot of red decks this week.
Event Details
Bring a 60-card deck using only cards from Magic: The Gathering Foundations, Aetherdrift, and Tarkir: Dragonstorm. With only three Standard sets to work with, you’ll need cutting-edge strategies to find victory! (Of course, I am making this up as I go. Disclaimer: I could be wrong, it could be any number of sets or include different ones)

Duration: April 22nd, 2025 @ 2:00 PM PST to April 24th, 2025 @ 2:00 PM PST
Format: On the Edge
Entry Fee: Free
Ends After: You can play as much as you like for the duration of the event.
These formats don’t have the time or reason to invest in streamlining the decks for the average person. That means that going under everyone tends to be a very good option. Mono red is a perfect option to do just that.
You only need four commons to run this pile. Is it fun? That depends on what you consider enjoyable. Will it eventually get you there on the cheap? Probably. Obviously you can modify this to add some group pump if you feel like it.
