Slow Start Standard – Midweek Magic Event Guide

Hey everyone! We’re all feeling a little sluggish after all of the holiday partying. I know I’ve put away a few too many pies and it might take me a minute to get off the couch. Coincidently that fits in with the theme with this weeks Midweek Magic. No, not because my wife had to use a spatula to get me moving to write this…It’s because in slow start events, the player who goes first has their first land enter play tapped.

That means we’ll be playing some pretty standard standard decks. That was bad even for a dad joke…You know what, I’m just going to get to your deck lists.

Welcome to Midweek Magic! Each week, try out a different way to play MTG Arena!

Going first is always such a treat, but we all have to go second sometimes. To help smooth things out, in this Standard event the player who goes first will have their first land enter the battlefield tapped. Just take it easy for a turn!
