Theros Beyond Death Basic Lands

If you’ve been keeping up with the Theros: Beyond Death spoilers, you may have seen the unique Basic Lands the set will feature, illustrated by Sam Burley.

These are termed the Showcase Basic Lands (also known as Pokemon Energy cards) and in tabletop Magic, will be found in each Theros booster pack. In MTG Arena however, we don’t know how they will be obtained yet. It may be more likely that these will either be available as an in-game purchase or through events (similar to Plane-cation Chronicles full art Unhinged Basic Lands).

On the other hand, the regular-bored Basic Lands still exist in Theros: Beyond Death and the art (also by Sam Burley) represent the “Above and Below” of Theros and its underworld, which you can view in the gallery below.
