We are on the final day of the September 2020 ranked season, and players will be competing to finish in the top 1200 Mythic spot to secure their place in the Mythic Qualifiers in October. Whether you are looking for decks to grind out the final hours or to start fresh for the new season, we have rounded up the both Standard and Historic decks that are in Mythic this week (and will be continuing to add them until the last minute). Be sure to check out the previous week’s round up post-Zendikar Rising release:
MTG Arena Standard Mythic Decks of the Week
Of course, Standard’s big news for the week would be the banning of Uro. It may open up other strategies more such as aggro or control, but whether that is enough to impact the ramp-heavy (Lotus Cobra and Omnath) metagame remains to be seen. It looks like nothing will happen at least until after the 2020 Season Grand Finals, so we will have to see how both formats will turn out without further follow up intervention.
The decks below do not utilize Uro, but things are still early and decks need to adjust as the metagame evolves (if it ends up changing a lot). Be sure to check out Robert Lee’s take on where the Standard meta may go:
MTG Arena Historic Mythic Decks of the Week
The Historic metagame remains relatively stable, but with Omnath further adding fuel to the ramp decks in a format already with Growth Spiral, Explore, Uro, and others than that have rotated out of Standard. It looks like in order for Wizards of the Coast to take further action on the format will be after we get some results from the Grand Finals coming up next week. Our Historic meta snapshot will be coming up as well, so keep your eyes out for that in the next few days.
How to Feature Your Deck
This column is our weekly roundup of Standard and Historic decks players are using to climb the ranked ladder on MTG Arena! Our goal is to curate and post a variety of deck archetypes and interesting card choices at the end of each week to help you keep up to date with the latest trends in the metagame. Until we get our deck builder up and running, if you have any decks you wish to be featured here, please Tweet us at @mtgazone, or message us on our Discord sever. Please note, not all decks that are submitted may be added.
