Per usual, you know I have to start with one of my favorite decks! Between a solid curve and surprisingly good removal, Mono White looks like a force to be reckoned with yet again.
While playing a Mono colored deck isn’t rare in these events, being able to play Mono Blue is! With great interaction, card selection, and top end, Mono Blue is the complete package for this event!
Like Mono White, it’s no surprise to see Mono Red on this list! While generally Mono Red’s card quality is hit or miss, this time around, the deck has a fantastic curve and great card all along it!
Looking to leverage the best threats in Red and White, Boros Aggro is able to play bangers at every point in the curve at the expense of slightly sketchy mana!
Filled to the brim with excellent cards, Gruul Aggro is trading some speed for excellent card quality as every threat in the deck is going to be better than the opponent’s average threat.
Like aggressive decks and synergistic decks? Well you can’t do better than Orzhov Party! Build a big board with Nalia de'Arnise and then Plague Wind your opponents with Stick Together!
One of my favorite strategies in all of Magic, this deck has equal parts power and synergy to outmuscle the opponent’s deck!
My Top Picks
Unlike most other set constructed events, there isn’t a particularly large disparity between the decks. If I had to pick a top 5, here’s what I would choose.
5. Mono Green Ramp
4. Mono Red Aggro
3. Dimir Control
2. Rakdos Sacrifice
1. Izzet Control
For me, I think Izzet is the best as you have excellent early interaction then powerful top end that should consistently net you wins.
