This guide will contain everything you need to know about the Alchemy Ladder Deck Showcase event, including rewards, decklists, and our recommendations for the event.
This week’s Midweek Magic event format is Alchemy – but this time, MTG Arena is providing you with five “competitive” Alchemy decks you might find on the ladder and you can choose and play with any of them. We have our recommendations on what to play if you just want the quick wins (not all decks are made equal), which you can check out below along with the decklists themselves.
There’s actually not much information out there on Alchemy as one of the least played formats on MTG Arena. With Alchemy: Eldraine just released, we have just updated our Alchemy Meta Tier Lists for the first time since its rotation, so be sure to check that out if you are interested in the format and want to try out some (better) decks.
Players can enter the event for free, win some free Rare Individual Card Rewards (ICRs) and a random cosmetic item on the third win. Below is everything you need to know about the event as well as the list of decks you can use for this event.

Alchemy Ladder Deck Showcase Decklists and Recommendations
My pick out of these decks is the Five-Color Legends deck since it’s by far the closest to the top tier version of the deck whereas all of the other lists are running a lot of suboptimal cards.
My main concern with this deck is that it is quite vulnerable to Sunfall which is run as a 4 of in the Azorius Control deck, but even so this is by far the most optimal of the lists presented, it attacks from a lot of different angles, and is a ton of fun to play as well so is definitely my pick of the bunch.
Alth is an MTG Arena grinder who has been #1 on the ladder multiple times and is always looking to bring new ideas and archetypes to the format and push them to the top spots on the ladder. You can follow him on Twitter and YouTube.
