Phyrexia: All Will Be One, is expected to be released to MTG Arena on February 7, 2023, and worldwide on February 10, 2023. With the first look of the expansion already out of the way as well as some unexpected leaks, a lot of the set is already known to many so far as we follow along the Planeswalkers that will battle it with the Phyrexians.
Whenever one or more creatures you control deal combat damage to a player, you may return one of them to its owner’s hand. If you do, you may activate loyalty abilities of Kaito twice this turn rather than only once.
+1: Up to one target creature can’t attack or block until your next turn.
0: Draw a card.
-2: Create a 2/2 colorless Drone artifact creature token with deathtouch and “When this creature leaves the battlefield, each opponent loses 2 life and you gain 2 life.”
Like War of the Spark, Phyrexia: All Will Be One will have many planeswalkers: 5 Rare, 5 Mythic, and half of them Compleated! Kaito, as one of the Rare ones, has no ultimate ability but makes up for all that plus more with its flexibility and versatility. It looks to be yet another good addition for Grixis Midrange – will the four mana cost prevent it from being played? And what will become of The Wandering Emperor‘s fate?
Furthermore, it appears we may be getting more drips of spoilers during the holidays if the social media post is any indication:
We hope everybody has a good year end and a new year as we continuously follow along the MTG Arena world 24 hours a day, and 365 days of the year!
