This weeks Midweek Magic is Last Call Alchemy All Access! This is functionally just Standard 2022 so if you were a big fan of that format, this is the event for you!

    • You are not crazy! The reason there’s no Alchemy cards is because this is functionally a Standard 2022 event. It’s only in Alchemy so you can use the cards that were banned like Faceless Haven and Alrunds Epiphany

  1. The Jeskai Codie deck was super fun back in Standard 2022, so I recommend it, but DO NOT RUN Shatterskull Smashing! When you cascade into it with Codie, it does absolutely nothing.

The listed deck is also not quite legal in this format… Unsummon is not legal because although it was legal in Standard 2022 due to being in the Arena starter set, it isn’t in any of the rotating sets. Alrund’s Epiphany and Divide by Zero are also in their nerfed Alchemy versions, so it’s a hit to the power level of the deck.

I replaced 2x Unsummon with 2x You See A Guard Approach to protect Codie, but it’s much worse and there might be better options. Maybe Frost Bite is the right choice, even with no snow lands.
