MTG: Arena Announcements, February 16, 2022

It’s time once again for our weekly review of the MTG: Arena Announcements bulletin published by Wizards of the Coast. This week, things are a bit quiet – the new set, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty has just released on the client and everyone is busy playing the new cards! We have a ton of content concerning Neon Dynasty already, and more is being added regularly. Check it out below, or scroll down to dive into the announcements.

Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Available on MTG Arena

Preorders have ended, and the latest MTG set, Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, is available now on Arena! You can find more details about the set in our coverage of last week’s State of the Game:

Upcoming Bug Fixes and the Dracula Card Styles

Wizards says that a “round of small bug fixes” is set to come out later this week. The only bug they specifically mention is for limited decks displaying all colors of cards in the sideboard, but it’s likely that there will also be fixes for some of the small card issues such as Reckoner Bankbuster not properly holding priority.

Additionally, the Innistrad: Double Feature event has completed, and players who entered the event more than once should have now been granted their additional Dracula card styles as promised.

Arena Limited Open Takes Place February 26-27

The next Arena Open tournament is coming up the weekend after this weekend, February 26-27. This time around, the tournament will be based in the limited format of Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty, with day one featuring Sealed deck and day two featuring Traditional Draft. All players who enter day one will unlock the Phyrexian card style for Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, and as usual, players who manage to score eight wins on day two will win $2,500 USD and an invitation to the Qualifier Weekend in March.

Players interested in competing can find official details on Wizard’s event page for the Arena Open.

That covers all of the information contained in this week’s announcements. You can find the full original text, which includes an up-to-date schedule for upcoming events on Arena, embedded below:
