MTG Arena Mobile Android Early Access: Release Date and Details

MTG Arena Mobile Early Access

MTG Arena will be coming to mobile for the first time, rolling out in the Google Play Store as an “Early Access” scheme. This will be released at the same time as Kaldheim – on January 28th, 2021!

MTG Arena Mobile Android

Some key points:

  • Release date: Android Google Play Store on January 28, 2021, after maintenance on MTG Arena when the Kaldheim patch releases.
  • Cross-platform support: Individual client settings on the PC and phone (such as Avatar and Pet) may be different across devices, but all progress is saved onto the account. Only one account can be logged in at the same time.
  • iOS: Coming “later this year”.
  • Specs: The early access app will require more “high end” phones from the last two years or so. The aim is to reduce the specs when the game is fully launched on mobile. For this initial run, Wizards are targeting 30 FPS and one hour of minimum playtime without issues. Having said that, you can risk it by directly downloading the APK of the app even if your device does not officially support it and try it out.

More details are slated to be released with the January 2021 State of the Game. Below is the official announcement from Wizards of the Coast:
