Timeless – Midweek Magic Event Guide and Best Decklists
This guide will contain everything you need to know about the Midweek Magic: Introducing Timeless! event, including rewards and our exclusive sample decklists.
Hey everyone! Itโs time (even I won’t stoop so low as to say Timeless here) for another Midweek Magic so Iโll take a small break from writing about Khans of Tarkir limited to bring you your weekly hit of deck lists. This week is the official kickoff of Timeless so weโll all be jumping right into the deep end.
This will be an adventure right off the bat with us having access to all of the goodies that they previously deemed โtoo hot for Historicโ. That includes everything from Oko, Thief of Crowns to Brainstorm.
Iโm not going to be including a budget deck this week because the Arena printings of a lot of common staples are only available at rare such as Lightning Bolt, Memory Lapse, and the aforementioned Brainstorm.
To be clear, I am not trying to break the Timeless metagame here. Iโm trying to get you your wins so you can collect your goodies. There will be a massive difference between what you face during MWM and what you would face higher up on the Timeless ladder.

While it doesn’t quite have all of the cards that the Legacy version has, it still has plenty of gas in the tank. Just drop one of your cheap threats and counter or remove any problems while giving them the business.
Drop your merry little green critters before you get to Natural Order away one of them for a Craterhoof Behemoth to finish the job. This will have problems with some of the more serious decks you run across with tons of cheap spot removal, but itโs at least fun.
Once Upon a Time lets you cheat a bit on your land count or ensure that you get to start the game off with a mana elf.
The whole goal here is to play Tainted Pact to exile your entire deck and play Thassa's Oracle to wrap it up. You also have Jace, Wielder of Mysteries in case you need a backup way to win after dumping your deck.
You’re playing a bunch of cheap counters, discard, and card selection to get you to the point you can go off. Fair warning, this deck takes a lot of clicking on Arena.
This deck can be painful to playโฆoh man that was not even good for a dad joke, I seriously need to get some sleep. You get to play with a ton of the cheap fun cards here that can just run them over, but you also have a nice endgame lined up with Death's Shadow or Underworld Breach.
