Wedding Crashers Standard Tripleton Event Guide and Decklists

Alluring Suitor Art by Justine Cruz
Alluring Suitor Art by Justine Cruz

Hello everyone! Today we’re going over a unique event where you can earn sick card styles: Wedding Crashers. This is going to be very similar to normal Standard as it’s Tripleton (playing a maximum of 3 of each card instead of 4), but you also get rewarded for playing as many of the same card as possible!

Event Details

It’s the biggest wedding of the season, and everyone who’s anyone will be in attendance. This is no time to stay on the sidelines! It’s time to mix it up and celebrate these new bonds of matrimony! Even if you’re not technically on the invite list, you can still make your way inside and enjoy the festivities, the scintillating company, and, of course, the dinner service. Word is, it’s all simply to die for.

The event has been postponed due to issues with matchmaking – it should be back live after maintenance. Click here for details.

Rather than playing a traditional midrange deck, just play a bunch of ramp and really good threats to overwhelm the opponent before they can recover!

  1. David says:

I’m surprised there’s no Rakdos Vampires list to utilize the Blood you’ll be getting.

    • David says:

Also, I suggest adding Legion Angel (and probably cutting Portable Hole) to the monowhite list. Legion Angel is too good in this format, guaranteeing 4 blood tokens.

      • DoggertQBones says:

Definitely a solid suggestion. Seems pretty reasonable as a 1-2 of main. For vampires specifically I figured the other options are likely too strong to get the minor upside playing with Vampires will get you.

  2. David says:

It looks like Legion Angel is actually supposed to be banned, but they forgot to actually enforce the ban. Oops. That might be why the event is not showing up right now.

  3. DomLucci says:

Why the event just disappeared without a countdown? i registered yesterday but i lose my money without playing…

  4. David says:

I also highly recommend playing Galazeth Prismari in Izzet, as it’s the only real payoff in standard for having a bunch of artifacts!

  5. Draugdur says:

    “Another event, another Monowhite.”

Yep, I can confirm that all right. Just 4-0’ed the event within half an hour or so, three out of four games ended by turn 4…and the fourth that was a bit more on the edge was a mirror xD I think the deck’s even better in this event than in regular standard
