Pro Tour Thunder Junction is upon us, and the top 200 Magic: The Gathering players from all around the world will be competing for their share in the $500,000 prize pool and spots in the Magic World Championship.
The tournament will be taking place from April 26th to 28th, 2024, and the format is Outlaws of Thunder Junction Standard and Limited! There will be the usual three rounds of draft games, five rounds of Standard on day 1 and 2, with a cut to top 8 Standard playoffs.
The full Standard decklists will be available on the official Magic Play website on Friday April 26, 2024 when the first round of Standard games start (at around 5 PM ET or 2 PM PT), but in the meantime Frank Karsten has the full metagame breakdown for us for a preview on what’s to come, including the list of Outlaws of Thunder Junction cards that made their way into all the decks!
While the metagame will be subject to change after the tournament, it is not expected that Outlaws of Thunder Junction will make a huge impact at least until Standard Rotation happens with the release of Bloomburrow although the set itself is powerful enough. Make sure to also check out our latest Standard meta report to compare!
