Alchemy is a new, digital-first format only on Starting from December 9, 2021, Magic: The Gathering Arena! Alchemy is MTG Arena’s version of Standard; it includes all Standard sets, and rotates as it normally does. However, it will also regularly rebalance cards and add supplemental cards with each premier set, incorporating digital-only mechanics such as Conjure, Perpetual, Seek.
Alchemy: Innistrad introduces the first 63 Alchemy cards associated with Innistrad: Midnight Hunt and Innistrad: Crimson Vow. Here are some important points you need to know about the new cards:
This set of new cards comes with 11 rebalanced cards. For a list of rebalanced cards to date, click here. You will own both Standard and Alchemy versions of the card.
Players can collect Alchemy: Innistrad cards via Alchemy boosters (individually for 1,000 gold or fifteen for 3,000 gems) or craft them using Wildcards. A special Alchemy bundle containing 20 Alchemy boosters will be available for 3,000 gems or 15,000 gold.
Alchemy boosters will use a modified version of Duplicate Protection: It will prioritize new cards from the associated Alchemy set, and after you’ve collected all of them, you will instead receive cards of the same rarity from the adjacent Standard set.
New cards will be automatically introduced to live digital-only eternal formats, such as Historic and Historic Brawl.
