Explorer Anthology 1 – Card Spoilers, Release Date, and More

The first instalment of the Explorer Anthology series of cards is coming to MTG Arena later this summer in 2022. It adds 20 curated Explorer-legal cards from Magic’s past. In this guide, you’ll find all of the information we currently have available concerning Explorer Anthology 1, including all of the cards that have been revealed so far.

• Duration: Explorer Anthology 1 will be available on MTG Arena starting from July 28, 2022 to October 5, 2022.
• Cost: Just as with the previous Historic Anthology bundles, players can purchase the complete set (4 of each card) as a bundle from the in-game Store for 4,000 Gems or 25,000 Gold during the limited time period or or they can be individually crafted using Wildcards.
• The set is curated for the Explorer format to bridge it closer to its paper adjacent format, Pioneer. As such, the cards by definition will also be legal for the Historic format. New to the format? Read all about it here.
• In the July 2022 State of the Game, the set was announced to be a separate product from Historic Anthology 6, which is to include Historic-only cards instead of mixing it with Explorer cards. Both sets are to arrive at the same time.
