Khans of Tarkir Constructed – Midweek Magic Event Guide and Best Decklists
This guide will contain everything you need to know about the Midweek Magic: Khans of Tarkir Constructed event, including rewards and our exclusive sample decklists.
Hey everyone! I hope you are all enjoying your holidays. As I promised, not even Christmas would stop me from dropping this Midweek Magic content for you. I can assure you that I am very merry after all the eggnog, coquito, and “adult” hot cocoa. That’s not even getting into the impending sugar coma and the stares I’m getting for ignoring people to write this so let’s get down to business before I end up on the naughty list for next year.
This week we are doing Khans of Tarkir constructed. I’m presuming that means it is an all go for any cards in the set, but it’s a pretty easy replacement if they randomly ban fetch lands. Just some event info and then you can click the buttons.

Duration: December 26th, 2023 @ 2:00 PM PST to December 28st, 2023 @ 2:00 PM PST
Format: Khans of Tarkir Constructed
Entry Fee: Free
Ends After: You can play as much as you like for the duration of the event.
We’ll start off fairly simple with a two color beatdown deck in a field full of three-color craziness. Getting to have two demi-lords at two mana will give you a huge advantage in the early game. This also has plenty of late game gas from Sorin, Solemn Visitor and Herald of Anafenza.
You didn’t really think I would possibly forget to make a Siege Rhino deck? Outside of every boomer’s favorite four drop, you get to play with a lot of the fun cards in the format such as Duneblast and Wingmate Roc.
Savage Knuckleblade and his cohort of crazy critters can put a serious hurting on in the early stages of the game. If they survive that onslaught, you can Dig Through Time to find Crater's Claws to burn them out.
The typical prowess plan of deploying cheap creatures that grow when you play spells. While this set didn’t have a ton of cheap cantrips, Defiant Strike and Force Away help you jam through their defenses.
You might be missing out on some of the cheap rares, but you still have the uncommon lords. The cards don’t really exist to make a cheap budget mono colored deck, so I did what I could with what is available. Hopefully you can still steal some wins off someone stumbling with too many tap lands.
