Hey everyone! It is once again the middle of another week. According to my amazing powers of prediction, that means it is time for another Midweek Magic event. This week we are getting Slow Start Alchemy. If it seems like we just had this event, that’s because we did about a month ago.
The whole thing with slow start is that it is playing the format normally except that the player who goes first has their land come into play tapped on turn one. That’s it, no other real differences.

Event Details
Bring your Alchemy-legal decks! Going first is always such a treat, but we all have to go second sometimes. To help smooth things out, the player who goes first will have their first land enter the battlefield tapped. Just take it easy for a turn!

With Easter right around the corner, it is only right that you unleash the herd of bunnies on your opponent. In this case, it is far closer to the Rabbit of Caerbannog than the bunny you meet at the mall.
Similar to the classic Historic Izzet Wizards deck that takes advantage of the Chorus package. Cast lots of cheap spells and kill them before they even have a chance to get off the ground.
Drop big dudes in the bin and bring them back on the cheap. Reanimator strategies have been around since the early days of Magic. If it good enough for Vintage Cube, it’s good enough for a random MWM.
RAWR! The mighty mice like to get aggressive in pretty much every format and this isn’t an exception. They are so ubiquitous that most of you already have them crafted making this a lot more reasonable.
