Streamer Crokeyz, in collaboration with his esports organization Team Liquid, hosts a special tournament with every new expansion. There is a $1,000 () cash prize pool up for grabs in this free to enter event, in which 153 players registered for in this edition. Possibly due to the long Labor Day weekend, and a lower prize pool compared to the Streets of New Capenna tournament ($2,500 and 257 players), the tournament had a lower participation rate.
With a fresh Standard metagame after rotation and new set Dominaria United, Standard is quickly looking for direction as players look for the best decks in the format. This will be one of the bigger events which will show how the metagame is progressing so far. Will the aggro decks oust the value midrange decks? Is Liliana of the Veil too powerful? Let’s find out!
