Alchemy Artisan – Midweek Magic Event Guide and Decklists
This guide will contain everything you need to know about the Midweek Magic: Alchemy Artisan event, including rewards and our exclusive sample decklists.
This week’s Midweek Magic is Alchemy Artisan! This is a format where Rares and Mythics aren’t allowed which allows for interesting deck building and (fun fact) is my favorite format on Arena!
Players can enter the event for free, win some free Rare Individual Card Rewards (ICRs) and a random cosmetic item on the third win. Below is everything you need to know about the event as well as the list of decks you can use for this event.

Welcome to Midweek Magic! Each week, try out a different way to play MTG Arena!
Bring a 60-card Alchemy deck, but using only commons, uncommons, and basic lands. Without rares, the common folk can truly be heard!

We have 20 fresh, brand new Alchemy Artisan decks that feature some the most powerful common and uncommon cards for use to choose from!
You can also check out our Standard Artisan deck section for more inspiration (though they are a bit outdated since the last time we had the event was November 2021 after Innistrad: Crimson Vow).
If Artisan is one of my favorite formats, Monoblack Midrange is one of my favorite decks in the format! Slowly grind out the opponent with drain enchantments and card advantage.
Speaking of synergistic aggro decks, Boros Artifact Aggro is fast, punishing, and is really strong between Patchwork Automaton and Ingenious Smith gorwing to ridiculous proportions.
Don’t worry Control mages, there’s a deck for you. With all interaction and the unstoppable win condition of Narfi, Betrayer King, you have a powerful interactive deck available to you.
What may be the strongest deck for this event, Izzet Tempo is pure efficiency and gets access to the buffed Symmetry Sage which tore through Historic not too long ago!
Between a pile of value creatures and sacrifice synergies, Orzhov Sacrifice is amazing at refueling its hand, interacting with the opponent, and grinding them out.
Rakdos Anvil is one of the strongest decks in regular Standard and Alchemy, but even in Artisan you get to keep the major components which make it so powerful!
Somewhat similar to Rakdos Anvil, Selesnya Enchantments keeps most of it’s power cards in Artisan easily making this one of the top decks of the format.
A favorite from Historic Artisan, Selesnya Lifegain is powerful and excellent against the litany of creature decks you’ll be likely to find in the event.
For the final list of the article, Simic Ramp has excellent ramp options in Alchemy and then you get rewarded by playing the extremely versatile channel creatures at the top end!
