Out of the Shadows Event Guide and Decklists

For the next week, you’ll be able to win a bunch of new card styles in the Out of the Shadows Event! The third week of this series of events is Alchemy Singleton once again, but with a different twist! You have a Out of the Shadows emblem that every time you deal combat damage to a player, a random creature in your hand perpetually gains +1/+1 and you can cast creatures as though they had flash until your next turn! This will make aggressive decks even better than they were in The Unbroken Blade event and add an air of mystery to every game!

Event Details

The streets of Towashi are glowing and vibrant, but bright lights can cast long shadows. Be on your guard, because a swift strike could come from around any corner. And even if you see one coming, there’s no telling how many more are waiting behind them, ready to emerge out of the shadows. But they’ve made one mistake: assuming that they are the hunters and you are the prey. Now it’s your turn to turn the tables and show them who’s really in control.

• Duration: March 25, 2022 @ 8:00 AM PST to April 1, 2022 @ 8:00 AM PST
• Format: Alchemy Singleton with Out of the Shadows Emblem
• Entry Fee: 2,000 Gold or 400 Gems
• Ends After: 4 wins or 2 losses, whichever comes first
• Match Structure: Best-of-one matches (BO1)

Whenever one or more creatures you control deal combat damage to a player, a random creature card in your hand perpetually gets +1/+1. Until your next turn, you may cast creature spells as though they had flash.

Out of Shadows Alchemy Singleton Decklists (March 2022)

You can view even more Alchemy Singleton decklists in our previous guides for the Unbroken Blade and the Neon Arcade event. Difference is the Emblem that was used.

Feel free to replace any cards you don’t have with something that serves a similar function; the beauty of Singleton is that you don’t need all the powerful cards for the deck to play optimally!

For an event that is super friendly to creatures, especially cheap ones, it’s hard to do better than Mono White with a bunch of 1 drops!

If you want a good mix of creatures and interaction, Mono Black Aggro is a great choice for the events.

For those who like incinerating their opponents, Mono Red Aggro is a super good choice!

Getting more bang for your buck, Mono Green creature has larger creatures on average which can make it a really good aggressive and defensive option.

Since both Mono White and Mono Red are so potent, why not combine them for a powerful and fast aggressive option!

Similar to Mono Black Aggro, Orzhov Aggro looks to take the aggressive creatures from White and the interaction of Black for a multifaceted strategy!

Considering Gruul Werewolves is one of Alchemy’s premiere decks, porting it over to Singleton is a no brainer!

To end on a thematic note, Dimir Ninjas looks like a solid option for the event as you have cheap, evasive threats on top of interaction.
