Baldur’s Gate features dragons, and lots of them! The first Alchemy Horizons expansion will feature two Festival events back to back that players can participate in to win some Rulebook Showcase Card Styles, similar to what we saw in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.
The first event is Historic Brawl, where players can select a preconstructed deck that features legendary Dragon commanders. This guide will contain everything you need to know about this event, including rewards and available decklists.
It gets tiring, you know . . . generation after generation of humans on quests to slay us. Ha! A mouse may rage, but the lion hears only squeaks. My kin, on the other claw, are much more worthy adversaries. I’m especially eager to test the mettle of Ziatora, a challenger from a plane called “New Capenna.”
To her I can only say: “It’s time for a Dragon Brawl, Zi!”

Dragon Brawl Decklists
DoggertQBones’s Recommendation: Unlike some of the other events, the decks here seem extremely well balanced upon first inspection. They all have strong curves and very reasonable game plans that can translate into wins. If I had to pick my favorite deck for the event, I think I have to go with Ziatora, the Incinerator.
I’m already a sucker for sacrifice decks, but a deck being able to get on board quickly and have strong synergies is what I’m looking for in a Historic Brawl deck. That said, I still believe that all of them are very reasonable options that can get you your requisite wins.
This deck is all about casting spells, and to abet that, it’s chock full of artifacts to let Galazeth get a lot of tempo or even ramp into your best spells!
If you like going big, you can’t do better than this deck. Miirym is packed with Ramp and huge threats so you’ll be presenting a scary threat every turn!
Focusing exclusively on tokens, Shadrix can get on board quickly and continue to amass a larger and larger army each turn!
Looking to push the +1/+1 counters synergies to their max, Tanazir has a great mix of strong and synergistic cards.
With plenty of sacrifice fodder and sacrifice synergistic cards, Ziatora can accrue small advantages throughout the game and then quickly go for the kill once the titular Dragon can hit the board.
