Baldur’s Gate features dragons, and lots of them! The first Alchemy Horizons expansion will feature two Festival events back to back that players can participate in to win some Rulebook Showcase Card Styles, similar to what we saw in Adventures in the Forgotten Realms.
Today we’re going over the event details and the best deck lists for the Dragons & Dungeons All-Access Historic Singleton Event! This is a unique opportunity to play any deck you want since, as the title of the event says, it’s All Access! You won’t be limited by your collection here!
Event Details
Look, I’m not trying to overstep, but isn’t this getting a little out of hand? Dragons overhead, adventurers breaking down the front door . . . how is an honest, hard-working dungeon master supposed to get anything done? My HOA* fees aren’t getting any cheaper!
*Hoard of Artifacts
In this Historic Singleton All Access event, be the bane of DMs everywhere: dragon with 5+ mana value are cheaper, and every second spell will venture you further into the dungeon. You can use cards that aren’t in your collection, so let your creativity run wild! As you plunder, you’ll reciev Rulebook card styles of Legendary Creatures from Alchemy Horizons: Baldur’s Gate. There are 16 styles to collect!

Dragons & Dungeons Decklists
While the two Emblems are cool and thematic to the expansion, I feel they won’t have a huge impact on how most of the games play out. Both do have potential so I included lists that really try to leverage them, but that doesn’t mean it’s the best thing you could be doing.
Creatures (29)
Artifacts (1)
Lands (22)
60 Cards
$94.56
Sideboard
7 Cards
$3.23
In a format as inconsistent as Singleton, having a fast, linear aggro deck like Mono White will always be a good choice.

Instants (6)
Sorceries (11)
Artifacts (1)
Lands (21)
60 Cards
$164.02
Sideboard

Looking to play a somewhat grindier game, Mono Black Lurrus has the tools to go fast, but also grind against any strategy.
Planeswalkers (1)
Creatures (28)
Artifacts (1)
Lands (22)
60 Cards
$82.57
Like Mono White, having a cohesive and fast deck seems excellent in a format where players are going to have weaker decks.
Planeswalkers (3)
Creatures (28)
Enchantments (1)
Lands (23)
60 Cards
$297.73
Sideboard
7 Cards

With a heap of ramp effects and plenty of payoffs, Mono Green is a simple, but powerful strategy for this event.
Planeswalkers (4)
Creatures (16)
Instants (5)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (5)
Lands (24)
60 Cards
$182.84
Looking to leverage the Dragon emblem, Boros Dragons plays a strong midrange game and can quickly end games with a deluge of Dragons!
Planeswalkers (1)
Creatures (18)
Instants (1)
Sorceries (13)
Lands (24)
60 Cards
$99.88
Sometimes being a jerk is fun, and with Gruul Ponza, you can look to deny the opponent from ever casting their best spells!
Planeswalkers (4)
Creatures (24)
Sorceries (4)
Enchantments (1)
Lands (23)
60 Cards
$230.54
Taking advantage of the Venture emblem to turbo charge the game plan, Orzhov is a nice blend between aggro and midrange that will have game against any sort of strategy.
Planeswalkers (1)
Creatures (18)
Instants (4)
Sorceries (11)
Artifacts (1)
Enchantments (1)
Lands (24)
60 Cards
$196.3
Playing as a half ramp/half combo deck, Simic Scapeshift is going to play a fair game plan most of the time and then randomly win out of nowhere with mill!
Planeswalkers (5)
Creatures (4)
Instants (15)
Sorceries (8)
Artifacts (1)
Enchantments (1)
Lands (26)
60 Cards

Enchantments (1)
Lands (24)
60 Cards
$299.14

While this event naturally increases inconsistency, Sultai Gyruda remains as consistent as ever as the ramp into Gyruda game plan is a strong and inevitable one!

Sorceries (13)
Artifacts (1)
Enchantments (5)
Lands (26)
60 Cards
$308.08

While relying on drawing one card to win is weird for a Singleton event, Sultai Ultimatum plays a strong and fair game plan otherwise and has a multitude of ways to find it’s titular card to win on the spot!
Creatures (30)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (1)
Lands (22)
60 Cards
$241.49
Built by Metallix87, this aggro deck looks to curve out and stomp your opponents, also making use of the event’s Emblems with cheap spells and dragons.
My Top Picks
I believe all of these decks are quite good and can get you the requisite wins, but if I’m ranking my top 5, here’s what I would pick.
- Sultai Gyruda
- Sultai Ultimatum
- Mono Green Ramp
- Mono White Aggro
- Mono Red Aggro
While I would love to play the cooler decks, I thik the mono colored efficient decks are the most likely to be the best options for this event.
Thank you for reading and best of luck!
