Midnight Hunt Constructed Decklists
Here are our sample decklists here to get you started, with commentary and my top picks below.
Creatures (34)
Instants (4)
60 Cards
$81.62
No matter the format, you better believe a Monowhite deck will be possible in it. Here I took the intersection between the best and cheapest creatures to get your beat down on while many of the other decks are looking to fight in the mid game.
Creatures (17)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (1)
60 Cards
$141.96
Black has a reasonably high card quality in Innistrad alongside a plethora of nice removal making a weird controlling/midrange deck a very reasonable option.
Creatures (22)
Sorceries (3)
Lands (23)
60 Cards
$66.94
Like Monowhite, Monored can functionally always exist in any format. Surprisingly though, for an aggro deck, the card quality is quite high as there’s a good amount of strong Red rares and Mythics to fill out the curve.
Planeswalkers (4)
Creatures (21)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (3)
Enchantments (3)
60 Cards
$81.14
The curve isn’t great, but Monogreen is going to be a monster once it starts to do it’s thing as it gets to play some of the best midrange tools in the entire format.
Planeswalkers (4)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (4)
Enchantments (4)
60 Cards
$77.88
There aren’t any excess of Control tools in Innistrad, but with reasonable interaction and card advantage, you could definitely try to grind out your opponents.
Creatures (34)
Sorceries (3)
60 Cards
$84.76
Humans is one of the most heavily supported tribes in Innistrad and it shows with the power level of the deck. This has a solid curve and very strong mid game that can rival any of the top decks.
Creatures (20)
Sorceries (1)
60 Cards
$104.86
Another (unsurprisingly) heavily supported tribe, Werewolves has a lot of interplay and is likely the most powerful of all the decks between card quality and synergies.
Creatures (24)
Artifacts (1)
Enchantments (4)
60 Cards
$103.02
Although it isn’t as supported as Humans or Werewolves, Vampires still has some very solid options and plenty of removal to tussle with the other creature decks of the format.
Creatures (17)
Instants (19)
Sorceries (2)
60 Cards
$50.34
Although Delver hasn’t taken off much in Standard, most of the pieces for the deck are in Innistrad so you’re left with a deck that looks the most like a Standard deck out of everything on the list.
Planeswalkers (4)
Creatures (22)
Sorceries (4)
Artifacts (2)
Enchantments (3)
60 Cards
$64.78
The final deck of the list, Simic looks to go over the top of everything else with ramp spells into bombs which should be pretty powerful considering most of these decks are looking to fight in the mid game.
My Top Picks
This was pretty tough to decide as all the options are likely reasonable, but if you’re looking to specifically have the best deck, these would be my 5 recommendations.
- Monowhite Aggro
- Monoblack Midrange
- Izzet Delver
- Gruul Werewolves
- Selesnya Humans
Realistically, I think the top 3 are all around the same power level so it would moreso come down to preference at that point.
