Hey everyone! I hope you’ve all been flourishing. Was that a little too on the nose? Hey not all the dad jokes can be winners. At least you’ll be winning your Midweek Magic with some of these decks I’ve provided.
You might be wondering what Rites of Flourishing Brawl is. It’s normal brawl (formerly known as Historic Brawl which happened so long ago I probably don’t need to keep putting this) except that everyone starts the game with a Rites of Flourishing emblem.
With that emblem everyone will be drawing extra cards and dropping extra lands. The main strategies will be to try to overwhelm them with an excessive amount of quick threats or go big knowing that you’ll be getting those threats out quicker.
I am assuming that it will follow the normal brawl banned list which you can find here. Of course, we’ve been hit with some surprises such as last week when Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer was randomly banned, but you could still Strip Mine people into oblivion. It was super casual because not a single person abused that little oops (Might have been a touch of sarcasm there as I’m sure you all noticed that almost everyone jumped at the chance to take advantage of that). I am going to toss a few extra decks on this week so you still have options in case we have that issue again.
Yeah, yeah…I’m getting to your deck lists right after this event info. My budget conscience friends don’t need to worry because I have them covered as well.

Welcome to Midweek Magic! Each week, try out a different way to play MTG Arena!
This is the old reliable of Brawl decks. You just overwhelm your opponent and burn them out before they have an opportunity to stabilize. A lot of those extra cards end up pointed directly at their face.
We are operating under the assumption that they use the correct banned list this week. If not, feel free to swap the monkey out for any other cheap red commander.
Which commander loves them some land drops? Tifa Lockhart will certainly have no problem taking advantage of the emblem. Being able to play her on turn one will lead to a lot of turn 2 kills that your opponent wasn’t expecting.
This pile of Eldrazi and artifacts will love taking advantage of all that extra mana. Ugin can be downright miserable to play against and this helps remove the limiter on how fast you can get him out.
I’m sure you all have some jokes about Old Stickfingers. That fruit is too low hanging for even me to grab ahold of it. I’ll leave it up to you on that.
This is really a combo deck that uses it’s commander for two to always drop Ardyn, the Usurper & Ulamog, the Defiler into your graveyard. You’re then just one reanimate spell away from destroying your opponents entire side with a hasty Ulamog.
The bunnies actually get quite a boost from this emblem. Being able to start dropping them turn one and keep pumping them out will make quick work of your opponent.
You will almost never actually play your commander, it is mainly for sneaking out for a massive bonus to your creatures.
It’s not a crime to play slimes. It’s just a cheap way to get through the event. Feel free to switch to any commander you a want, I just put a cheap uncommon one.
