Hey everyone! We’re continuing to dive deep into the sewers for the current crossover event. Yeah, of course it is a set based around doing battle with Pennywise the Dancing Clown. Hold on a second, I’ve been informed that is an incorrect statement and that we are actually still playing with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. You can choose whichever fever dream you prefer but one way or the other there are monsters hanging out in the sewers.
This week we will be playing Brawl Builder Challenge. It is a normal brawl (formerly known as Historic Brawl) deck with the restriction of needing to choose a commander from the current set. Of course, WotC loves to throw us some last second curve balls and it only says Brawl Builder Challenge so no promises.
I know what you’re really here for so without further ado, we can get to your deck lists.
Event Details
Choose one of our Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles commanders and build a 100-card Brawl deck using any cards in MTG Arena (excluding those on the Brawl banned list)!

We all know what we’re doing here and it sure isn’t planning to stick around for long casual games. This is just a Ragavan deck with a different cheap red commander to try to run the opponent over before they can get the party started. There aren’t a ton of artifacts for Casey to dig up, but its still a cheap haster with upside.
Mikey lets you stack counters up like it is going out of style. You will end up with some obscenely sized creatures that will leave your opponent screaming “That’s a huge witch!” (I saved my editor the trouble of changing that to witch. I’m good like that. And definitely not immature despite what my wife may say)
It would feel wrong if we didn’t have a ninja deck option for this event. This follows the usual plan of having a bunch of cheap evasive enablers allowing you to sneak (see what I did there) some ninjas in for value.
They really don’t have a ton of cards with affinity for artifacts on Arena. It’s almost like they are worried about them being busted because of something that happened in the distant past.
Krang does let you do a whole bunch of silly stuff and I am here for it. Drop your hand and refill it with a now supersized critter that keeps coming back to do it all over again.
Don’t want to spend a ton of wildcards? Good ol Slimetime makes an appearance to solve that problem for you. If you don’t mind burning one rare wild card Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11 is a better commander for this.
Thanks for reading! I’ll be back in a week with your next edition of Midweek Magic where we discuss Slow Start Alchemy. Until then, stay classy people!
