MTG Arena will be hosting a special series of events called the Decathlon. This guide will contain everything you need to know about this event including the schedule, rewards and our exclusive sample decklists.
Overview
From January 1 to January 16, there will be a total of ten Preliminary Decathlon events. Two are released every three days, each from a variety of MTG Arena formats – from constructed to limited, and both best of one and best of three.
Each event costs 2,000 Gold or 400 Gems to enter, and you can enter each one as much as you like. The final win from each Decathlon will grant you an unique Decathlon Finals Token for that event. Collecting these tokens from each event will grant you entries to the Decathlon Finals event depending on how much you earn:
0-2 Unique Decathlon tokens has no prize (beyond the Bronze Sundering Titan sleeves recieved from entering a Decathlon event)
The Decathlon Finals is where you will see the most prestigious rewards: One copy of every card in Phyrexia: All Will Be One, Phage, the Untouchable avatar, Core Set 2021 basic lands, sleeves, draft tokens, and Wildcards. They are detailed in the rewards section below.
